With the aim of continuing to strengthen the quality of our journal and aligning our processes with international scholarly publishing best practices, we would like to announce an important update to our bibliographic identity. Starting with the current release, we are formally adopting the Volume and Issue numbering system.

This decision aligns with the quality and consistency criteria required by major indexing systems, catalogs, and global databases.

Since our founding in 2011, each issue of Revista Difusiones has been identified using a consecutive numbering historically referred to as "volume." While this approach ensured our chronological continuity, we have decided to integrate the standard technical distinction used in global academic publishing:

• Volume (Vol.): Represents the journal's editorial year, counted consecutively from its founding in 2011 (this year corresponds to Vol. 16).

• Issue (No.): Identifies each specific issue published within that editorial year (in this case, No. 1).

Consequently, the current issue is formally registered as Vol. 16, No. 1, reflecting our 16 years of continuous publication.

We wish to clarify that all previously published issues will retain their original identification. This measure is essential to preserve existing citations, maintain the stability of our historical archive, and guarantee that our authors' metadata remains fully traceable across repositories and search engines without causing broken links.

Furthermore, we would like to reassure our community that this transition is purely technical and administrative. It does not affect our publication frequency, our open-access policy, or our rigorous double-blind peer review process.
