Abstract

Bowlby (1980), Weiss (1982) define adult attachment as "` relationships in which the proximity of a preferred or special one is sought or maintained in order to achieve security "'. Knowing about the type of bond is important, in periods of vital crisis, to determine a correct adaptation and how to build the bond with your children. We ask what are their characteristics in adults between 18 and 65 years of both sexes. For this, a semi-structured interview was used. The sampling was intentional non-probabilistic, 10 individuals of the UCSE were selected. Research has revealed to us how people in their own development are modifying the bonds although the functions of attachment are sustained in times of change. These complementary links become reciprocal and are even interspersed with moments of complementarity. We saw how primary bonds are sustained beyond time, and how, although in a first moment of life, only those caregivers were counted, now adults themselves see themselves in an opposite role. It is observed, then, how the share of security and protection provided by the link has been internalized.
